Yes, there is a hiking trail called Wildflower Hill which is .75 miles and accessible from our nursery.
It can only be accessed when TPF is open.
Purchases & Orders

Our turnaround time is approximately 2-4 days after you have placed your order.
Once your order is ready for pickup, you will receive an email notificationthat your order is ready for pickup.

We do not take orders over the phone.
Purchases can be made in person or online.

We do not ship or deliver plants.
We only ship seeds and non-plant merchandise.

We offer Ground (Economy) shipping through USPS.
Please allow 3-5 days after your purchase for your order to be packed and shipped.
Once your order has been shipped, please allow 5-8 business days for your order to arrive.

We do not accept plant returns or exchanges once the plant has been taken offsite.
We will accept returns of unopened seed packets and merchandise.

The shipping fee for your order will depend on your purchase and location.

We are unable to predict when a plant will be back in stock.
If the plant you are looking for is sold out:
Click “Notify me when available” on the plant’s product page to receive an email notification when that item is back in stock.

You can purchase plants in person at our nursery or through our online store.

We do not offer wholesale plants.
Seed packets are available wholesale.

You can search for an item in our online store, which will tell you if something is currently in stock or sold out at Theodore Payne Foundation Nursery or Los Nogales Nursery.

We do not offer bulk discounts.

We will hold your order for 7 days once your order is ready for pickup. After one week, we will notify you to come pick up your order.
If your order is not picked up within that period, we will restock the items you purchased and provide a refund minus a 25% restocking fee.

We will only put aside items that have been purchased.

You can purchase a membership through our online store or in person at our nursery.

Membership is valid for one year from purchase.

You can renew your membership through our online store or in person at our nursery. If you purchase in the online store, you can even set your membership to auto-renew.

No, membership is tied to your email address that you used when you purchased it.

Your membership is valid one year to the date after purchase.

You must be logged in to view your profile details.

Yes, you can purchase a gift membership online or in person.
At checkout, be sure to include a “Gift Note” with recipient’s name, email, phone, and address.

Yes, you can use your membership discount when making a purchase in-person or online.

Login to our online store using the email associated with your membership (the email used to purchase your membership).
Once you are at Checkout, you will enter the discount code you received by email when you first purchased a membership.
The code is TPFMEMBER
This code will only work if you are logged in.

The discount code may not be working for one of these reasons:
1) Your membership has lapsed.
2) You are signed into the online store with a different email than the one you used to purchase your membership.
3) The items in your cart are not eligible for the member discount (for example, books or tools).

Professional membership is for landscape professionals who can provide proof of their business.
Pro Members receive a 25% discount on plants.

Yes, we offer both in-person and online classes.

Yes, our online classes are recorded.
A recording of the class will be sent out to participants within 24-48 hours of the class and will be available to view for 2 weeks.
