Theodore Payne Foundation 2026 Native Plant Garden Tour, April 11-12, 2026

Habitats That Heal

The 2026 Tour will be a celebration of the restorative power of native plants for ecosystems, wildlife, and our own well-being.

We’re honored to feature artwork by Carly Lake, whose cover illustration captures the spirit of the tour and the ways that California native gardens nurture, restore, and connect us to the land.

Explore the beauty and biodiversity of California native plant landscapes on the 2026 Native Plant Garden Tour! This beloved two-day, self-guided tour showcases 42 stunning gardens across Greater Los Angeles, each showcasing the unique ways native plants create habitat, conserve water, promote a green future, and inspire a personal connection to place.

Journey at your own pace and choose the gardens that intrigue you most, from coastal container displays to urban homesteads and hillside havens. Every featured garden includes at least 50% California native plants, offering critical habitat for birds, bees, and butterflies. Join us and experience the transformative power of native plants!
