Common Name: Narrow Leaf Milkweed
Forage source for the Monarch butterfly and Striated Queen. Host plant for Monarch caterpillars. Interesting button flowers; usually forms small colonies. Adaptable to most conditions. Orioles use dry stems for nesting.
Note: Native California milkweed should be sown in early to mid spring as they go dormant fall through winter
