Arbutus menziesii - Madrone (Plant)

This is a beautiful shrub to small tree with broad leaves and red bark. White spring flowers are bell shaped and are followed by red berries. In southern CA it has a shrub-like habit similar to toyon. In northern climates, it gets much larger (50-100').
